Timpanogos School District is pleased to welcome Karen Carter as our new District Executive Assistant.
Karen brings more than 25 years of diverse experience in education and district operations. She has spent much of her career serving in schools within the Timpanogos boundaries, working as a classroom aide, registrar at Orem Junior High, and executive secretary at Timpanogos High School. For the past three years, she has supported district operations as the Executive Assistant in Business Services. Her extensive experience at both the school and district levels provides her with a unique understanding of how systems, communication, and daily operations work together to support students and educators.

Karen shared her enthusiasm for joining the new district:
“Joining Timpanogos School District feels like a rare and exciting opportunity to help shape the culture, systems, and leadership of a new district. I’m honored to contribute to building a strong foundation that supports learning, collaboration, and long-term success.”
In her role as District Executive Assistant, Karen will provide administrative and operational support to the Board of Education, Superintendent Dr. Jensen, and Business Administrator Jason Sundberg. Her responsibilities include coordinating board processes, preparing meeting materials, supporting communication efforts, and helping ensure meetings and district initiatives move forward efficiently and professionally.
We are grateful to welcome Karen into this role at such an important time for our district. Her experience, leadership, and strong ties to our school communities will support us as we transition from Alpine School District and prepare to operate as our new district in July 2027.
