American Fork High School is proud to announce that it has been recognized by the Utah State Board of Education with two prestigious honors: the Student Achievement Towards English Proficiency Award and the State Excellence Award.
These awards were given in recognition of American Fork High School’s outstanding progress in supporting multilingual learners (MLs). The school achieved 72 percent proficiency growth on WIDA assessments, demonstrating significant improvement in students’ English language development.
In addition to language growth, the school also saw a notable increase in ML students enrolling in career and college readiness opportunities, including Advanced Placement (AP), Concurrent Enrollment, MTEC, and Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses.
